Helleborus -- Hellebore

Use where city gardeners would use hostas, only hellebores are better! They keep their leaves all winter and bloom early in the spring or even in late winter. They are poisonous and therefore very deer-resistant. Hellebores need good, moisture-retentive soil, high in organic matter; mulch in winter in colder zones.
