Interesting palmate leaves add delicate texture to your garden year around. Leaves are aromatic when brushed so the deer completely ignore them. Lots of creamy, pendulous flower heads crowd the top of the plant in very early spring, interesting for their deep tube shape and narrow purple tip. The long-lasting blooms come when there is little else going on in the garden. All Helleborus foetidus need good drainage and at least a few hours a day of sun.
