The color of these flowers has "guts," as my art-director friend used to say about colors. Compared to the yellow flowers of Digitalis grandiflora, these gold-kissed blooms are a little more eye catching. 'Spice' name derives from the "dusting of nutmeg" on each flower. The leaves stay green through the winter on this long-lived hybrid.
