Fencing Extension, Dog Fencing -- 5' x 100' Extra-strength Tenax Premium
$ 130.95
Free shipping to lower 48. UV-treated black polypropylene C-flex P with expected life of 15+ years. Break strength 750 lb. Mesh size approximately 1.77" x 1.97". Roll weighs 17 lb.
The Extra-strength Tenax Premium fencing contains about twice the polypropylene
as the Professional ("Heavy-duty") C-flex. Use this stronger mesh to protect your
gardens and landscapes from moderate-to-heavy deer pressure (heavier deer traffic
can occur to homes bordering parks or in areas of no hunting). Install this
Extra-strength grade in wooded areas to better resist falling branches. Use as a dog
enclosure for medium-to-large or very active dogs.
Approximate breaking load 750 lb.: 685 lb. per foot in the deer-susceptible vertical
(transverse) direction; 548 lb. in the horizontal (machine) direction. UV treated –
expected to last 15 years or more.
To keep deer out, add to the top of an existing decorative fence. Or, install in a
circle around individual young trees or other plantings to protect them from deer (note
that the diameter of each enclosure must be small enough that the deer has no room to
land when it calculates jumping in for a meal). If you need to exclude rabbits from your
garden as well as deer, use this shorter polypropylene fencing above the steel Rodent
Control Fencing to still reach a height of seven feet or more. The strands of our
deluxe Tenax-brand Fencing are cylindrical. The strands of many lower-quality products
are flat. Our cylindrical strands catch less wind and are less visible. Where each
horizontal cylindrical strand crosses a vertical strand, the plastic is turned in the
manufacturing process so the strands blend or fuse together. On the other hand, flat
strands are punched or pushed into each other, leaving a joint more susceptible to
tearing or separating. You'll enjoy your garden or landscape more without deer
damage. From a distance, the black mesh is nearly invisible as it blends into objects
and shadows behind it. And, it is an easy, install-it-yourself project. Don't forget
Posts and Ground Stakes or Ground Staples to complete your installation.
"I got the fencing yesterday. It installed easy and works well. The fence is keeping
the dogs in the back yard, finally." -- HJ, McDonough, GA.
